Orgill Sales Awards at the Renasant Convention Center

Orgill Sales Awards Memphis Magazine Studio Blog Cover

On January 16, 2026, Orgill, the world’s largest independently owned hardware distributor, hosted its 2025 Sales Awards at the Renasant Convention Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

With more than 600 guests in attendance, the evening celebrated top performers from across the company with a black-tie awards reception and an emphasis on unforgettable entertainment.

When Orgill approached us, they were clear about their vision for the evening:

There’s no chicken on the menu.

In other words, they weren’t interested in predictable entertainment. They wanted bold, elaborate experiences that would surprise and delight their sales team.

To bring that vision to life, we created four distinct photo and video experiences, each designed to capture the energy of the evening in a different way.

A Multi-Experience Photo Activation for 600 Corporate Guests

Large corporate events benefit from offering multiple interactive experiences rather than just a single photo booth.

For the Orgill Sales Awards, we created four different activations placed throughout the reception:

  • GlamBot robotic cinematic entrance

  • Magazine Studio with photographer-led portraits

  • Classic Photo Booth with modern branded prints

  • Portrait Studio with red carpet styling

Each experience had its own look, lighting style, and print format, giving guests several ways to participate throughout the evening.

In addition to the prints available at the three photographic experiences, guests could instantly share their captures by text to download and share on their socials.

GlamBot Entrance Experience at the “Memphis” Mural

Orgill Glambot Memphis Guests Having Fun

As guests entered the reception, they were greeted by our high-speed cinematic GlamBot robot, capturing dramatic slow-motion video moments.

The setup featured an iconic Memphis mural created from original artwork by a patient at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, creating a powerful and locally meaningful backdrop. We kept the capture simple, to draw the viewer’s attention to the guest and mural, including a branded outro only at the end.

Guests stepped on set and the robotic camera recorded cinematic slow-motion footage as they posed, laughed, and celebrated.

The result was an energetic welcome moment that immediately set the tone for the night.

Magazine Studio: On the Cover of Orgill Magazine

For guests who wanted a more polished portrait experience, we created the Orgill Magazine Studio.

This experience featured:

  • A live photographer

  • Studio-quality lighting

  • Custom Orgill magazine cover artwork

  • Iridescent 4×6 pearl print media

The pearl paper added a subtle shimmer to each print, making the final images elevated and collectible. They were the perfect keepsake to frame and display at home or the office.

Classic Photo Booth with Branded Print Strips

For a timeless Photo Booth experience, we installed our Classic Booth, featuring a traditional four-image photo strip.

The design kept the branding clean and bold:

  • “Orgill red” border

  • Simple Orgill logo

  • Classic photo layout

This experience was fast, fun, and perfect for groups, producing instant keepsakes guests could take home and keep on their fridge.

Portrait Studio with Red Carpet Styling

For the awards atmosphere, we created a Portrait Studio experience designed to feel like a celebrity red carpet moment.

The setup included:

  • A live photographer

  • Black draped backdrop to match the awards stage aesthetic

  • Red carpet

  • Bold 5×7 prints

To achieve the dramatic look, we built an elaborate four-light studio setup, carefully positioned to create flattering highlights and depth.

The result was a series of portraits that looked less like a photo booth and more like professional editorial photography.

A Venue Partner That Helped Bring It All Together

This event also marked our first time working at the Renasant Convention Center in Memphis.

A special thank you goes to Caroline McCann, Event Manager, whose organization and proactive coordination helped ensure the evening ran smoothly.

Her attention to detail made it easy for multiple entertainment experiences to operate simultaneously while keeping the flow of the event seamless.

Why Corporate Events Benefit from Multiple Photo Experiences

For events with 500+ guests, offering multiple interactive experiences helps prevent long lines and encourages guests to explore different parts of the reception.

Each activation delivers a different type of engagement:

  • Cinematic videos

  • Elaborate portraits

  • Classic Photo Booth fun

The result is a richer guest experience and a wider variety of content for the host organization to share afterward.
