We've set up more Photo Booths, GlamBots, and Photo Studios in Memphis-area ballrooms, auditoriums, and historic buildings than we can count, so when engaged couples ask us "where should we even start looking," we have thoughts. In person we’d ask you several more clarifying questions, but since this is a fairly one-sided conversation, we’ll give you our takes, some basic need-to-know info that sometimes can be harder than you’d think to find, and even a few juicy resources we dug up so you don’t have to, like current PDF’s with a venue’s specific terms, room layouts, vendor details, and prices. This way you get valuable resources and our real list of all the venues we keep seeing on 2026 and 2027 calendars. They’re organized by vibe, with everything you need to actually go tour them.

The Kent

The Kent sits in the Historic Snuff District and somehow manages to feel both industrial and warm at the same time, which is a hard trick to pull off. With over 20,000 square feet of space and room for up to 1,000 guests, it's one of the few Memphis venues that can genuinely go from a 75-person cocktail wedding to a full-blown 1,000-guest bash without feeling wrong either way.
Real talk, outside of the Memphis Art Museum, we’ve probably been to The Kent more than any other venue and we legitimately love working events there. It’s a vendors dream, which totally might not be top of mind for you (it wasn’t for me when I was venue hunting back in 2018/19) but I promise you, seasoned wedding vendors know where is difficult to deal with and where is a breeze. Between the Event Manger Toni, huge garage doors at the front and back of the venue, good access to power throughout the space, a large kitchen, updated and clean bathrooms, getting ready rooms and enough space to activate intimate to large scale events, it’s really fabulous.
The Cadre Building

Built in 1928, the Cadre is the venue we point to when a couple says "we want it to look like a movie." The Grand Ballroom has the chandeliers and soaring ceilings to back that up, and the mezzanine level gives guests somewhere gorgeous to sip cocktails while looking down over the room below. It is stunning, feels metropolitan being solidly downtown, and old-world chic with all of it’s beautiful ornate details that most venues just don’t have these days.
Central Station Hotel

This one is a little different because it's an actual working train station, first opened in 1914 and was masterfully restored in 2019. The Grand Hall still has its 33-foot ceilings and now has custom chandeliers to go with them. And because it's in the South Main Arts District your guests can walk to dinner, drinks, and a trolley ride afterward. It’s in the perfect downtown Memphis spot.

The Peabody Memphis

You already know the Peabody, or at least you know the ducks. What's easy to forget is that this hotel has been hosting weddings since 1869, so the staff has genuinely seen it all, which means less stress on your end. Rooms range from the intimate Louis XVI Room for a rehearsal dinner all the way up to galas for thousands of guests, all under the same roof.

Memphis Brooks Museum of Art

Ahh, our home away from home. The folks at the soon to be known as Memphis Art Museum are top notch. We’ve done more events in their walls than any other place in the city and we love when a couple tells us this is their chosen venue!
There's something about getting married surrounded by actual world-class art that just hits different, and the Brooks has more than 100 years of history as an orginization to back it up.
A cool thing to note: They also offer a smaller, 25-guest vow renewal and vow exchange option if you're after something more intimate (and less expensive, lets be real).

The Dixon Gallery and Gardens

Available March through November, the Dixon lets you say your vows on the Bowlin Stage or the South Lawn, then move everyone into the Hughes Pavilion, a brick building with floor-to-ceiling windows and a tented patio out back. It's one of the most photogenic venues on this whole list, honestly. Classic architecture and lush greenery mean it's an easy match for almost any color palette you throw at it.

Pink Palace Mansion

Part of the Museum of Science and History, the Pink Palace rents as a full venue for up to 500 guests and comes with two private "getting ready" suites built into the rental, one on each side of the mansion. If you want to keep celebrating past the mansion itself, the adjoining Ballroom, Mezzanine, and even the Giant Screen Theater can extend the party into other spaces.

Ninety-six acres and 30 specialty gardens means there's genuinely a ceremony backdrop here for almost any aesthetic you're picturing, from the koi-filled lake in the Japanese Garden to the fountain-centered Iris Garden. Indoor spaces like Hardin Hall seat up to 350, and every garden ceremony package comes with tram service and a rain-plan safety net built in, which we always appreciate as vendors too.

Metal Museum

The Metal Museum's grounds sit right on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, and the gazebo-and-sunset combo up there is honestly one of our favorite backdrops in the whole city. It's currently closed for renovation with a grand reopening set for September 5, 2026, so keep that in mind if you're planning to tour soon.

Junior League of Memphis Community Resource Center

This one's a little under the radar, and it’s fun to recommending a hidden gem that even Memphis natives are unaware of. Built in 1921 as a private residence in the Italian-Mediterranean style, the Community Resource Center (known as “the CRC” amongst the cool kids) sits on sculpted lawns with two gazebos and a fountain. It's also on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful space seats 200 for a lawn wedding, and the interior parlor is great for something smaller, more intimate, and delightfully unique.

Hilton Memphis

Hilton Memphis is the venue we recommend when a couple has a big, spread-out guest list, especially if there are international guests flying in. Over 30,000 square feet of pillarless ballroom space in East Memphis means it can flex from an intimate ceremony to a several-hundred-person gala without ever feeling like a hotel conference room.

Orion Hill

Right up the road from us here in Arlington, Orion Hill has towering cedars, chandeliers, and an actual working lake with a dock for photos, which is part of why it placed 2nd in the Memphis Flyer's Best Wedding Venue competition. The rental includes a full furniture package (tables, chairs, uplighting) so there's a lot less to source separately. They also do micro-wedding and elopement packages if you're keeping it small.

The Lakeside Ballroom here has 7,200 square feet of flexible space with wraparound windows facing Hyde Lake, all set inside Shelby Farms' 4,500 acres of green space. There's a private bridal suite, a garden and patio area, and a full catering kitchen with a kosher option available, which comes in handy more often than you'd think.

Mallard's Croft

The Vineyard at Mallard's Croft is a rustic barn surrounded by rolling hills and actual rows of vines, restored to hold 200 guests indoors with plenty of outdoor farmland for the ceremony and rehearsal dinner. It's close enough to feel like a short drive from Memphis, Collierville, Germantown, and Arlington, but far enough that it feels like a completely different world once you're there. They also offer on-site lodging.

Castle Hill has 25 years of experience hosting weddings on this estate, and it pairs indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces with actual overnight accommodations, so the celebration can stretch into a full weekend instead of just one evening. We're already booked for a 2027 bride here, which should tell you something about how far out couples are locking in dates for this one.

Open since 2016 and voted Best Wedding Venue in Oxford, MS for nine years running, The Jefferson is built almost entirely from reclaimed materials, and the Grand Hall, Faulkner Room, and Lakeside space give you multiple distinct looks without leaving the property. The Grand Hall alone is 7,200 square feet of column-free space with lake views and 22-foot ceilings at the peak.

A Note on Booking Timelines
Woodruff-Fontaine House and Castle Hill are already deep into 2027 bookings, and popular Saturday dates at estates like Orion Hill and Mallard's Croft go fast. If any of these caught your eye, don't sit on it too long before scheduling a tour.
